where to get xbmc 3.3.3

Hi im new to this forum so appologies if i offend anybody by asking but can anyone point me towards the stable release of xbmc 3.3.3?

ive tried searching, i havent a clue about compiling, frankly im completely lost if somebody could help please

Cheers, is the nightly versions compiled from official source code or are they homebrew software? are they stable? sry again for my ignorance

The fact that you ask means you should stick to "stable" versions - "nightlies" are daily builds from the development code, may fix some things but most of the times probably breaks things on the short term. Both are compiled from the official source code, but like I explained they are at different points in time (stable = fixed, nightlies = every night as the sources change). Asking is fine, it's the easiest way to learn

Think you were right im after bricking the bloody thing trying to set xbmc as the dashboard, downloaded the shortcut, created the .cfg file and now it wont start, is there any way of accessing the hard drive to delete the 2 files without having to wipe it and softmod it again?

You could try the Error Recovery Mode (http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/wiki/Error_Recovery_Mode), but I'd say you've probably broke it.

You should have installed the shortcut first in non-final location (e.g. F:\), try it from there first and see if it works correctly by running it through XBMC4Xbox File Manager, before moving in into the final location, overwriting your dashboard .xbe sorry. You might have to re-install your softmod.

I was getting them off a Google Drive account but that seems to have disappeared!

I have no clue of what Google Drive folder you're talking about VanZan..
As Dan said (Search the forums for "unofficial builds 3.3.3).. And to me it seems like there is still a working Google Drive folder there.

@Xphazer: Hmmm I see that thread mate. I'm not sure if that was where I was getting the builds from or not (if it was I was definitely only downloading the STABLE releases though, if indeed they were stable at all!). All I remember is coming here to download the latest version, being rather irked that there was no download link and then finding a Google Drive ink as the first result with a Google search.

Anyway I just popped over to the xtras site and downloaded it from buzz's thread there. Panic over!
