Are the internal controller ports interchangeable between xbox version's as in would the ports from a 1.0/1.1 plug straight in and work on a 1.4?

Found out recently that the other versions have cables of different lengths. So athough they are the same, they just won't reach the mobo.

Re: Controller ports
I was thinking of doing a dvd mod like that and thought about using the plastic lens from a pair of sunglasses to cover the port. Not sure how well the plastic would take to being fettled down to size but you can pick up a pair for 50p in wilksinsons etc. and try it out

Re: Controller ports
I have a dead 1.1 motherboard, I was wondering if I can desolder the controller ports from it and solder them into another spare working v1.0 motherboard, I actually don't have a 1.0 controllers ports, but I do have 1.1-1.6 ones, so my question is: will this work if I remove the 1.0 connectors on the mobo and replace them with 1.1 ones?

Re: Controller ports
The xbox 1.0 has a daughter board the controller ports plug into, if you don't have one of those you need to get one before you can connect any controller ports.
