I was rather surprised to recently find you can get IDE SSD's, which seems a contradiction somehow. Anyway maybe you could just pop one of those straight in an xbox, no adapter required.
Although thinking about it they're probably the laptop variety of IDE connection so you'd need an adapter anyway. And of course they have much less capacity than a jolly old mechanical drive.
So on the whole probably not worth it

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

How much room do you have under those seats??
Theres enough room for a slim box under there...i would have to remove the seat and fit the xbox and re-fit the seat.

I could just put the xbox behind the front seats in the foot well...i will never have any body in the rear seats...as this a a mint 15 year old car it will goto some car shows next summer with the car club im in....plus i love to show off my xbox with xbmc...there will be a 22" screen in the back/boot area with 1080p xbmc playing music...movies....games etc with LED lighting etc.

They're expensive too, with really bad performance so you'd not ever want to use it in anything else..... go for a stock SSD and a SATA -> IDE adapter.....

Im not shure what to do...I may just put the xbox behind the seat and just extend the ports/RCA cables with leads...If i put it there then it will be easy to run the RGB cable to the rear screen...and the normal cable to the front screen via a switch box.

How much room do you have on the floor board between the front/rear seats? Anything you can do to hide it? Might be kinda cool to paint the xbox the same color as the car.
