No problem and you have been working quite hard chucking updates out within a short space of time.

I have now managed to root my Ziio and get access to the Play Store, so much easier to get your updates now.

Thanks Gasman, thought I might change things a bit towards smaller / shorter releases.

As a heads up, I was almost ready with 2.9 with finally a touchpad interface for remote control (meant to do this ages), but I might not finish it time - going away Sunday night for 3 weeks. I will either leave it for when I'm back, or I might release a beta version for testing as an APK if anyone wants to try it for feedback.

I have this app on my partners KindleHD works great at home.....but i had an idea when my xbox is in the car with a xbox wifi adapter connected to my mobile phone(wifi hot spot) could i still use the Kindle/Xbmc remote on the wifi network to control the xbox...?

Well i tried it last night.....my xbox was connected to my mobile(wifi hot spot) all looks ok.....but when i power up xbmc remote it askes me to turn on the wifi....at this point it seem my phone cannot be a wifi hot spot and have the wifi turned on at the same time....worth a try tho lol

Just ran a quick test myself on a Sony Tipo in Hotspot mode and managed to connect my laptop to it and then open a browser from the phone to the laptop's web server, knowing it's IP.

Now, specifically to your case - you can ignore for now the popup from the app, click to take you to Wi-Fi options and then come back. Network scan will probably not work, so you will need to determine Xbox IP from XBMC4Xbox > System Info and manually enter it in the app.

The Wi-Fi Hotspot / Access Point API doesn't seem to be very public - I'll see if I can get rid of the popup when in AP mode (was meant to help you enable wi-fi if you forgot to), and more importantly is to be able to determine the IP range for the AP so you can find the XBMC4Xbox with a network scan (currently it scans only on the Wi-Fi IP range).

I just wanted to write to congratulate you on this app.
It's so nice to be able to take the dongle off my crystal xbox (did they ever make a crystal dongle btw?)
