What is this switch?

Post by AwesomeNurd »

Hi everyone, I received a joblot, there is a motherboard with a ram upgrade and in the bottom there is a switch soldered to 3 points, I wonder what is it? There is also a component that is missing, I took a picture of it. I also don't know what is it

Thank you

Its either a switch to enable the write points for tsop flashing or switching banks on a 1mb bios, i notice only half of the ram upgrade was completed.
Sent from my android coz apple is for pie.

The ram chips are soldered on the top as well, I just didn't take a picture of it. Do you know what is the component missing? I want to try to desolder the same from the other mobo and solder it in the 128mb mobo and try to see if it works.

Your TSOP has been split. You can choose beetwen 2 bios-banks with this switch.

Looks like a resistor or smd capacitor.
