Resigning the default dashboard

Post by Koitsu »

I had all these old color dashboards from the thc/uix/bsx teams and I wanted to get just the old, old color mod for the default dashboard working on my modded xbox...when the chip is disabled. Red Blue, didn't matter; I just wanted to make sure it worked if my chip ever died or came loose.

The HDD is properly locked, and the default green dash works find when the chip's disabled, but the second I do anything to it, I get E21. I thought that resigning it to the xboxdash folder with WinXip would let it pass the hash check, but it seems not. Is resigning it not the answer, or does WinXip not do it correctly? ...some other app that can...?

the xbox cript key is very tightly held in microsoft's vault you wont be able to sign software with out that key, i believe those mods if done correctly will work for a softmodded xbox.
