DVD Subtitles

Every time I play a standard DVD through xbmc, the subtitles come on - is there anyway to make subtitles off by default?
(I promise I've looked but I can't find anything!)

Yer, I think so, try starting the movie, bring up the on screen panel, (lower left small button on a controller), Navigate up to the speaker symbol, select and in Audio and Subtitle settings you will see "subtitle". Change this setting to NONE and then 2 rows under, it says "set as default for all movies". Click on that. You problems should now be gone.
