Wanted: Trusty 1.4ghz Board/Xbox
Hi guys,
A long shot I know but thought it was worth asking if anyone has a Trusty 1.4ghz 128mb motherboard or Xbox for sale.
Thanks in advance.

Do XBMC recognize the extra ram? I was also wondering what to do for the games backup to make them work on a 128mb console? I want to buy a 128mb console in the near future as well.

XBMC should detect the extra ram right away. Games will work fine with the extra ram. Remember, the Xbox was designed to be able to handle 128mb of ram for use with Developer Kits. The 1.4ghz processor is what you may have problems with. There is patching software on the internet that patches the XBE files used to run the Xbox games that fix speed some speed issues. Google is your friend for that, or Xbox-scene.comAwesomeNurd wrote:Do XBMC recognize the extra ram? I was also wondering what to do for the games backup to make them work on a 128mb console? @professor_jonny
thanks for the link mate, it answered alot of my questions. not really bothered about the 1080p playback but excellent 720p playback would be awesome.

do you have to add all 64 mb or can you just add a a chip or two and still see the added memory?

Which codec? What bit rate? Important to know.AwesomeNurd wrote:Does it play 720p movies flawlessly?
It might just about manage a low bit rate H.264, maxxing out at maybe up to 1500~2000kbps. Whether that quality is good enough for you to consider "flawless" is quite another factor.

Re: Wanted: Trusty 1.4ghz Board/Xbox
You have to add it all as the memory bus is 128bit wide it will crash the xbox or cause graphical problems such as no display. we dont have the ability to adress individual blocks as it is dram based.captainsensation wrote:do you have to add all 64 mb or can you just add a a chip or two and still see the added memory?
