The production crew works on shows like: Hawaii 5-0, Fringe and Lost. Darkness' story is ridiculously predictable.(I walked out) Absolutely no mystery, riddled with cliche catch phrases and plots twists. If network TV cop dramas are your bag, then you'll probably like it.
Good thing Kathleen Kennedy is credited as the executive producer for the upcoming star wars movies. Her Production resume is filled with quality films.
I think J.J. ought be thrown from the directors chair and replaced with someone that isn't mixed up in
Hollywood's 40somethings queer'o ream fest.
I'm not too confident in episode 7's writer either(Oblivion, which was a combination of "moon" and "independence day" has [George Lucas stole lord of the rings and called it "willow"] written all over it)

Re: Star Trek into darkness= Turkey
I saw it on last Thursday and thought it was brilliant. Yeah I suppose it's fairly predictable but I love what they've done with the alternate timeline and the actors are spot on perfect for their roles.
