It has also a chip with a mini usb on it. Not sure what it does.

the remote control (battery cover =MIA) with dongle

that plug is the x3ir infrared programmer port for programming the power on and off keys on your remote to control your xbox.
it is the newer usb model i have the older serial version of it for my xbox.
