And a very fine choice of colour schemes you choose. :D . Perfection as always sir. How come my requests of late have been stock machines with only HDD upgrades?. :( I suppose quick and easy turnover but no imagination required.

Offer to paint it white for them to stimulate the interest. That's what i always do, remove the jewel and just a quick white spray.

( couldn't figure out how to add more pics to my last post )

Was playing about with my xbox 180 ( U-turn ) again last night as I had some spare time; whilst adding the usb sockets to the front that i have been meaning to do for the last 6 months if not more the idea popped into my head make use of the wireless sync button as a power button, Freeing up the giant hole in the front for another fan since all my other boxes have been getting them.

This one is in there temp at the mo until i can get a flashy led model hence its not in straight but is working atm.

DSC0000090.jpg
The plan atm is adding the dvd drive back in & having this using stock xbox 360 hdd's, this will mean switching the mobo to and older model or adding a chip as this is a softmodded 1.6 with a thompson dvd drive board ( i got rid of the phillips to make more room.

Also just got another dead xbox360 that I might have to build into a matching pair.

Update:

Built myself a custom 360 skin as all the ones i could find were for based on much older 360 dash versions

And then edited it some more

Mine are pretty boring compared to some of these crazy cool things...

The Xbox1 I actually did almost ten years ago as a whipper-snapper. I sold that console on after a year or two, and I only just (well, about a year ago) got hold of a new one and started modding it again... I'm very slow but, I should have that ready to show soon :) Also, when it rains it pours and I actually ended up with a second Xbox1 about a month later, so I might try something a bit crazier with that.

Image

I've also got a 360 which I did a custom paint job to around 2007, but without opening the case so as to not void the warranty. It has RRoD'd since and been repaired without quibble, so it was worth the extra effort :D I finally opened the case of that machine a few days ago actually and swapped the ROL LED's to blue (purple on error) so they match the Xbox1 that it's sitting next to. The controllers really need repainting now since I rushed them a bit originally and they obviously take heavy use and abuse, and the console has a few scratches too after all these years.

There are a few more pics at my blog: http://nerdshack.info/?p=429

I just love seeing an old stack of VHS tapes like that. Cool mods bro, I like the paint color choice on the original xbox.

Welcome aboard falafael, I see this is your first post on the new site. Get one of those xboxes in your new shed you're building ;) . I've offered to build a 250gb one loaded with emulators and movies for the upcoming xbmchubfest. Thought it would be nice to promote the old girl and show people the roots of xbmc, give them a chance to try it all out and then it can be used in some giveaway competition. I think the only mod I'll be doing on that though is silent 80mm fan and larger HDD. I could do with a modchip if anyone has one spare or knows of somewhere I could get a cheap one?

Thanks whufclee, yep, i have already got the xbox out of the loft at the weekend, i'll put a picture on here in a few days, i wouldn't ming taking out the 250g hD though, and maybe put in a 750gig drive!!

Saying that, it will get some use once the shed is done!
Cheers
:)

Infact, i just looked, and the xbox that 'royalx' has for sale is the exact same one i have!

That sir is a fantastic color scheme. Did you post that on the X-scene case mod forum? It looks very familiar to me.

Can you not scale it from the picture?

I'm guessing you could allow a little extra for the vertical sides and cut them down to suit after.
