I saw the XBMC4XBOX (2.2) installer on the repository and installed it. Then ran it and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a new way of installing XBMC itself, so checked my existing version - 3.2.1 and saw there was 3.3.3 on the list, so I selected it in the XMBC4XBOX installer and chose 'Install'. It showed a screen where I could enter an installation path, so, presumed it needed me to tell it E:\Apps\XBMC (as normal), so I selected E: as a starting point..... at this point, the screen displayed as if I had selected C: (I most definitely did not !) - and froze. Nothing I could do would break out of it, so I had to power-cycle it.
On the first power up, I got "11 - Service Required", so I rebooted again and now I've got "12 - Service Required".
I am a little disappointed.
Buzz..... calling Buzz !!!!
Ran XBMC4XBOX Installer - now "Service Required 11 & 12" !!!

I presume you're referring to Dan's XBMC SVN Installer?
You would choose the root directory as the installation path, so if your current install is located at E:/Apps/XBMC you would set it as E:/Apps/
Can you try booting into recovery mode by holding down the yellow (Y) and white buttons on powering up. If this is successful it will give you FTP access and you can fix your problem by manually reinstalling.

I just get the same - error 12. If I power-up with the eject button I get error 11.
Errors 11 & 12 appear to be something to do with the DVD drive... ?? Surely this can't logically have anything to do with me trying to update XBMC ?
On the other hand, it's a hell of a coincidence if it isn't !

Error 11 and 12 has nothing to do with the installer the dvd has failed mid way during instalation by the looks of it, It also could be a hdd falure locking up the ide interface.
Something needs to be replaced in the xbox
10 - kernel - DVD timeout
1. Make sure ide cables are connected good.
2. Make sure the yellow cables are good and properly connected.
3. Still no succes? Try another dvd drive of which you are sure it is working.
11 - kernel - No DVD FoundSame as #10[/b]
12 - kernel - DVD parameters (PIO/DMA)
Same as #10, only not very common.

@aneng
I don't know how the plugin could have broken your installation, if you only got as far as freezing when browsing for the "installation location".
That is a kinda known issue, instead you need to set the path (e.g. E:\Apps) in the plugin settings. I will change it so instead of showing you the dialog to populate it, it will tell you to change it in settings - this way it won't freeze on you when you come back from browsing for locations. But at the stage you got there, it didn't do anything really, you just navigated around.
You might want to read its wiki page, I'll also make a change so that it tells you to read it on first run - pay special attention to the part where it installs it as a dashboard. Some people get so excited about it that they won't pay attention to the actual Team XBMC shortcut installation, on which the plugin relies to be done properly first, and they will break it themselves then. That part aside plugin simply downloads a distribution, extracts it in a new folder then optionally asks you whether you want to copy the Userdata from your running XBMC and that's it.
