Re: Who runs a 2Tb drive?

One thing I would definitely try in your case would be to a manual HDD de-Frag. No such a program for Xboxes was ever made so basically, you need to take everything off your F drive by FTPing onto a spare PC HDD on your PC. Once everything is copied, delete all the content on the Xbox F drive and n...

Re: Who runs a 2Tb drive?

I had it explained to me that the issue with sata adapters was the adapters need to map the connected HDD every time you boot it up. Some adapters are quick at this, some are slow. The wiring of the adapters also varies and that explains why some adapters will only work with 80 wire cables and some ...

Re: Power Wireless Adapter Off Of XBOX Power Supply?

So yellow is + 12v, any black is -, correct. You could also use the metal shielding as the - or ground as it is all common ground on an Xbox. To get your small net cable, you could slide back the end cover off one end of an existing net cable and pull the cables out through the slots in the side of ...

Re: Power Wireless Adapter Off Of XBOX Power Supply?

Do you think that power board current detecting circuit will be able to differentiate between the TV on with the Xbox on and the TV on with the Xbox off though. Just bare in mind I have never seen one of these power boards and are actually interested myself. More to the point trying to work out how ...

Re: boot disc no longer working - bad bios flash?

Your adapter "must" be in the slave or cable select mode to work by the way. For my adapters this is achieved by removing the links but this may differ with your adapter. Look around the board where the links are for markings that indicate how to set the different modes. Removing them may ...

Re: boot disc no longer working - bad bios flash?

The issue you face is you are running an aladdin chip, they have a 256kb bank & unfortunately the bios that support 2tb drives (partition tabled drives) that are 256kb don't support v1.6 Xbox. I beg to differ to that claim. Just use an M8+ bios, the one recommended for 1.6 machines on the Slaye...

Re: boot disc no longer working - bad bios flash?

Maybe I did not set it up correctly. Using 2 equal F and G partitions with 927 each and 64K clusters. I installed everything with the Slayers disc. I chose E: for the applications. I'm not sure I did everything right. Is there a guide to follow? Yep that is perfect. I was going to say make sure the...

Re: Xbox shows IP but not connecting. Help

Silly question but wise to check the easy first, have you tried another net cable?. It is a patch cable you are using and not a cross over cable?.

Re: Very small power supply. Would it work with Xbox?

Something like this is ideal if you want an all in one solution. It is designed for an in car install of a PC but what I liked about it was the startup delay timers and turn off delays that are completely programmable and it is designed to handle low voltage during car motor cranking. The 5vDc is hi...

Trace corrosion on the mother board is what your issue is. Heaps written about it in this forum in fact I think it is this modding section. A bit tricky to repair but once done, problem gone.

Re: Soldering Iron?

My best advice is to grab an iron of bigger wattage than you need. You can always turn it down , but the bigger the wattage, the quicker the heat recovery. Nothing worse than an iron that looses it's heat as soon as you touch your work and takes too long to heat back up. Also, being a past owner of ...

Re: how to change bios ?

Slayers may not have the chameleon modchips ID number so therefore can't do anything with it. I had to add quite a few different modchip ID numbers to my version of Slayers so it would allow me to flash just about everything out there. The clone X3 modchip ID was all I was after so I could use Slaye...

Well the board mods work well. It picks up about 50mm away from the sensor perfectly. When I ordered the sensor boards I also ordered some stickers of my son's football club that were to take up the now blank rectangular panel seeing as the switches were taken off the switch panel. I'm really thinki...

Re: XBMC4Xbox File Manager Copy Issue

Yer, it was the PMIII skin that had this feature where it truly worked as designed. PMIIIHD had it as well but it was patchy at best. I don't think Confluence ever had it. I seem to remember talking about removing this feature in the quest for more available RAM. On the current Kodi PC version it is...

Is this not a skin related option?. I seem to remember seeing a skin with the option, "show progress bar".
