Re: 2TB upgrade - Freezes when loading apps, really slow boo
Hmmmm I usually find modded xboxes faster to boot with the newer higher performing drives... I was going to suggest cluster size, but it looks correct. I've had some IDE/SATA adaptors that are a bit flakey... could be worth trying another, and some dont like 80 strand cables, try it back with the xb...

Re: Worth it to get a component to HDMI adapter?
Why 480p?
The Xbox is easily capable of outputing 720p over component, and it looks pretty good too!

BeQuiet 80mm Silent fan... 12volt fan mod... all good, runs at the same speed for everything and you still have to stick your head over it to hear it

Re: [xboxhdm23 beta] QEMU unable to mkdir or cp files
Always copy the EEPROM.bin to your computer....
you will need a FATX explorer for your PC to be able to see the structure of the unlocked drive and copy the bin file over, or an easy option is a mod-chip

Re: Ideas for modern-day applications of XBMC4XBOX?
Awesome, I always had trouble playing most 720p files though. I'll keep that in mind for encoding. I have a Trusty 1.4GHz board board on the way but I'll try to post a guide for doing it on a stock xbox setup, once I figure out some way to organize these ~4000 music videos Depending on where you ar...

Re: Ideas for modern-day applications of XBMC4XBOX?
Nice post... The xbox will still play HD video, you just have to use a non cpu intensive codec and container... pretty good quallity 720p AVI looks very good on the xbox, I did also look into transcoding on the fly with PS3 Media Server https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS3_Media_Server - not sure if th...

Re: Xbox boots into black screen
Hmmm, I've had this before, sounds like you've killed the softmod, rescue disks wont help, I think you need the EEPROM, which now means a nightmare to get without a copy of it or a mod-chip

Re: Xbox 1,4ghz switchable and 128mb off Ram
Mainly emulators - N64/PS games that chugg on a 733Mhz xbox play at full speed on the 1.4Ghz machines. I have a 1Ghz/128mb machine and its definately faster than a stock xbox, tests done by forum members have shown the 1.4Ghz machine to be near to twice as fast as a stock box, games load faster, Me...

Re: Kodi watch
Thats bad.... Kodi getting dragged through the dirty when really its not their doing.
They should of kept it called XBMC... more people would of still thought of it as Xbox software and it would of kept the user base lower, it became pretty unfriendly over there once the user base went crazy.

I also have one of n64freak's custom 1.4Ghz boards and will vouch for him 100% !! Very clean and professional work. Fast and worry free service. Well worth the price and this kind of offer don't come around. It's currently sitting in a prime Crystal edition case awaiting a few case mods :) Why woul...

I've never even had that on a softmod box.. usually it works fine. So it works fi...

Re: Can't delete files or folders?
Yep, you will need to use XbPt to alter the cluster size but before you re-cluster, try loading a few things on the drive just to test everything is looking OK. It will load and allow you to check things prior to re-clustering infact the drive will work perfectly until you get over 127GB. Once you ...

Re: Can't delete files or folders?
Thats killed it again.... Copied everthing off... ran Xbpt... Formated F: with 32k clusters and now it wont boot... it stuck on the IND BIOS screen which makes me think there is now no dash on it again. If I go through slayers disk surely it will format the partition again and I'll be back where I s...

I nuked the install, it was making no sense.... - started again fresh with Slayers 2.7, new IDE cable, new SATA to IDE and new ethernet cable.. I also re-scaned the drive for errors. :D Just a quick question... when slayers disk formats the F: partition - it will use the correct cluster size? or do...
