Re: Find largest files on xbox drives?

You can use fatxplorer on the pc and likely use easy cleaner same as you do with your pc drives.

You could also use powershell scripting to create a txt document with the file names and file sizes.

Re: Suggestion: Add support for OLED and character I2C displays

The I2C is a system management bus it was not designed for this is best not to block the traffic on it with transferring LCD data. The LPC bus is designed for attaching low speed peripherals and is best to use it for addons. CPLD's can be programmed to translate from LPC transactions to drive any th...

Re: Fatxplorer beta 3.0

I'm wondering if a few people could try read from an Xbox memory cart and just let us know if they see any errors or bugs?

Eaton says he is getting errors generated but has not had anyone report any bugs and is is unsure if it is a bug or just poorly formatted memory units.

Re: dying HD and controller ports?

there is more than one fault there it might be a good idea to attack one at a time, but it sounds like you it could have a bad dvd drive/ hdd and it sounds like you may also have trace rot and likely have bad caps.

you likely have a softmod with a shadow c you might need to do it by first removing shadow c before changing your region.

Re: Fatxplorer beta 3.0

I spun up a Win10 virtual machine to test and couldn't get the app to detect my original Xbox hard drive. I could plug in an Xbox 360 HDD and that would show up just fine, just not original Xbox. Xplorer360 could open my original Xbox drive fine so I don't think it's a hardware problem. I installed...

Re: BIOS ID Detection

The BiosID is just a checksum of the bios, and most ini's will only know the significant releases by teams, on Xbins and Erfnet and xboxhacker BBS (at the time). If you modify one of the team released bios's using evtool for example it will modify the checksum and the ID will be unknown to most apps...

Re: BIOS ID Detection

you might need to enable debug mode to get a full log.

but as for the rest have a look on the wiki it may explain the usage but likely the BiosID.ini follows the same format as the evox dashboard?

Re: FatXplorer progress update

I see references to drivers and mounting. Does this mean fatxplorer will allow you to see the drive in Windows?? I hope the UI also helps with the process of copying a crap-ton of files. the 360 drive mounts into windows as just another drivefor drag and drop support like it was a normal pc formatt...

Re: N64/ Trusty CPU microcode bios update

1 Ghz Processor doesn´t need to be updated? I don't believe so as it is the same formfactor but I do not have a 1 GHZ to actually check the processor info from Linux to confirm. I believe the chip they use is a BGA 495 (KC80526GY001256) or (KP80526GY001256) which both I believe are covered by the 6...

Re: Using the SMBus with another device?

The SMbus is used for traffic for system management (go figure) and because of that is not recommended to be used for addons it could interfere with something critical. Best to use a LPC super I/O controller and serial bridge for what you are planning or use a modchip with SPI. http://xboxdevwiki.ne...

I was under th impression it is not a good idea if the drive is beyond a specific size or cluster size, so most only use it for setting up softmods etc... eaton zevare is on the final stages of making fatxplorer work on the original xbox and in thim it will be the fastest method to transfer games et...
