Have you tried Kapton tape? It's really useful for holding down electronic components and a lot less messy than electrical tape which gets a bit gluey when things warm up. Hi, I hacked the digital switches from 2 xbox controllers which gives me a good 2 player setup - this way there is no need for any encoder pcb but the soldering is really tricky. Before this I did look into kade as it looked good, but I gave up trying to buy one as they're never available, so I boug...

Hi again - another thought, I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think you'll find a 12V source for the illumination on the power/reset pcb, I have a feeling that it's 3.3V or maybe 5V at that stage. So the led in the pushbutton will either be pretty dim,or possibly not light up at all. Maybe try s...

Hi, I can also confirm that it's possible and pretty easy to do this. I'm using an Xbox for an arcade cabinet and wanted to be able to power on and off with a button on the outside of the cabinet. Getting to the power/reset switch is slightly tricky, but once that's out, you just solder to the switc...
