[Release] XBlast Lite CPLD source code

I always said I would do it, here it is. All the sources to build CPLD program files for Xblast Lite modchip. PCB layout file isn't included to try and keep a sense of exclusivity for people who bought units in the first batch of XBlast Lite devices. https://bitbucket.org/psyko_chewbacca/xblast_lite...

Re: (WIP) New modchip coming in

One more question for you, psyko_chewbacca. In a comparison table of the different BIOS options for the OGXbox that I have read on a reddit group, the XBlastOS has, in its feature list, the option to reflash a corrupted TSOP. Is this correct? I haven't seen that function listed in the XBlastOS opti...

Re: (WIP) New modchip coming in

Hi! Sorry to post this in the Xblast Lite thread, but, I can't post at all on assemblergames, since it seems near impossible to have an account activated there. Regarding the Aladdin XT 2+ version of this BIOS/OS, is the file linked in the thread on assembler about the aladdin the very latest versi...

Re: What are the *real* limitations of FATX

Well I am stomped. It does seem FATX volumes can indeed have up to 4096 entries in their root directory, on both FATX16 and FATX32 formatted volumes! Tinkering with FATX limitations on a spare drive, I stumbled on this behavior. It does seem the implementation of the FATX filesystem "driver" in the ...

Re: Xenium Modchip Frag Porblem

My guess is these units are clones and might have been updated to Xenium OS 2.x.x which is know to brick the clone units overtime. But this is pure speculation, we might never know what happened. After careful physical inspection of all your units, can you spot potential physical damage to component...

Re: What are the *real* limitations of FATX

I in over my head with FATX at the moment. I'm not an expert by any means but here's my take. Root directory of a logical drive (C, E, F, G and others) can contain only a single cluster of directory/file entries. A FATX directory entry is 64 bytes long. Standard partitions (C, E, X, Y, Z) are all fo...

Re: Flashed the wrong bios :(

Yep you can do a chip hotswap and flash but the d0 point has to stay connected on both chips to get it to work. You don't need to have d0 attached to the modchip once the Xbox booted from LPC. D0 tampering is only useful at boot(or reset), when MCPX determines if it should fetch the BIOS from TSOP ...

Re: TSOP V1.4 Winbond Gentoox Fails with Gray Screen

Glad you got it working. If you don't mind experimenting a bit, I'd like if you could try to launch XBlast OS Xbe version with that third party video cable. See if you have the same issue as with Gentoox Loader.

Use the latest version : https://bitbucket.org/psyko_chewbacca/ ... downloads/

Re: [Release]XBlast OS v0.56

Sweet! I need to get my Xbox back together and update, especially with all the features added in 0.50 (which I totally missed). I think i'm still running v0.35 on my Xblast lol. If you're not already aware, you need to update to v0.56 in 2 steps; first from 0.35 to 0.50 and then to 0.56. Update ima...

[Release]XBlast OS v0.56

Hi Small update for those of you who have been having issues flashing BIOS using the web server(NetFlash). The network stack was updated following the discovery of a bug that would corrupt some network packets on reassembly. For the uninitiated here's a summary of what XBlast OS is: XBlast OS is a c...

Re: Preparing for RAM Upgrade

But wait how is this possible with an Aladdin? Or do you use the XBlastOS currently flashed to reflash the modchip again? Flashing XBlast OS on a modchip is just like flashing Gentoox Loader bin except it doesn't boot linux but has a ton extra features. Cool... I might try this with my Xenium for n...

Re: Preparing for RAM Upgrade

Can XBlastOS just be flashed to a modchip using evox as for example? Yes or by loading the XBE verison of XBlast and using the built in BIOS flasher to flash the modchip. If I flash an Aladdin with XBlastOS I won't be able to reflash it using an xbox console would I? Yes you can, you can reflash th...

[Release]XBlast OS v0.55

New XBlast OS update. Not much new stuff from a user standpoint but it does include neat features in case things go bad. Here's the changelog: -Fixed quickboot. -Hide "Restore EEPROM from modchip" menu entry if no valid EEPROM backup found -Optimized 2bl size and execution speed -Added recovery in 2...

Re: Preparing for RAM Upgrade

Great to know... K4D263238F are the ones I've been looking at as they are much cheaper... Still okay to mix with D variant? Yes but I would advise keeping same parts in groups of 4. Don't mix and match D and F's in your 4 extra chips you're about to install. Keep it all a single type of chip. It's ...

Re: TSOP Flasher Project (Based on Chimp)

Could I safely assume if a RESULT of 1.2 implies 1.2 & 1.3 and so forth for 1.4 = 1.4 & 1.5 ? Yes I understand the bottom half of the code but the top not so much, I see that this is for the Loader but can this be used within my scripts? The top half of the code goes as follow: You need to query th...

Re: Preparing for RAM Upgrade

Hi, late to the party. Here's my input. The K4D263238F part is an updated version of the M variant. If offers more timing configurations and reduced power consumption. It also ditch lower speed grade (over QC50). So you could solder in either the K4D263238F or K4D263238M as long as the speed grade i...

Re: TSOP Flasher Project (Based on Chimp)

At the moment I'm only identifying the xbox version via md5 and this only works if the console hasn't previously been flashed... I'm sure there has to be a better way of detecting the xbox versions that I havn't discovered yet... Yep there is. You can query the PIC on SMBus for a version string. He...
