Re: [Xbox 1.1] G partition not visible

Thank you!

That is exactly what I was looking for... I guess I kept pressing the power button for too long and chip was read-only because of this. I managed to get it right now. Had to re-format the HDD afterwards to get the right partitions, but it's perfect now. You're a genius. :D

Cheers!

Re: [Xbox 1.4] No 720i in games

Hi, thank you for your reply! Yes, I'm using component cable and I have the NTSC version (or at least that's what the download page said on TheIsozone). XBMC displays in 1080i and I managed to get most games that are compatible to run in HD or FullHD. This one seems to refuse to co-operate. :( If yo...

Re: [Xbox 1.1] G partition not visible

Hmmm... I tried what you suggested but the flash fails, even though I'm using the right bios (custom M8+ 256Kb made using EVtools). Gentoox just says flash failed. Do I need to rewire the chip somehow to enable writing the ROM? I'm definitely booting from M8+ already, as BIOS checker detects BIOS as...

Re: [Xbox 1.1] G partition not visible

Thank you again for your answer! How do I re-flash the chip? Haven't really dealt with chips before, mostly used softmodded or TSOP-ed Xboxes. Do I need to modify the hardware in any way? I mean I found another chip in another Xbox a while ago that had a menu that you could enter by using a button-c...

[Xbox 1.1] G partition not visible

Hi, I'm trying to set up an Xbox 1.1 with Aladdin chip installed. It has Evox M8+ flashed into it, and boots straight into XBMC on startup. Unfortunately, G drive is invisible and XBpartitioner keeps telling me my BIOS doesn't support extended partitions, when in fact M8+ sure does. The HDD is much ...

[Xbox 1.4] No 720i in games

Hi, I am trying to run a few games in 720i and 1080i (the few that support it) and unfortunately neither seem to be actually displaying in that output except for Crash Nitro Rally which does indeed work with that resolution. For example, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory should be working in 720i, b...

Re: [XBMC 3.5.3] Problems with SMB mass transfer

Thanks for the reply! As a matter of fact, I managed to figure out that XBMC4XBOX doesn't allow for simultaneous transfers and FileZilla tries to transfer two at a time by default, hitting the "too many connections" error continually. Limiting it to one transfer at a time in FileZilla tran...

[XBMC 3.5.3] Problems with SMB mass transfer

Hi, I have recently hooked up a few new Xboxes with my Synology NAS. All of the Xboxes can see the NAS, can download files from it, but some do faster and better then the others. In particular, an Xbox with a very old version of XBMC can show total task progress and individual progress at the same t...

Re: [Xbox 1.6] Problems installing XBMC

Dear Rocky5! Your installer is probably the most precious few megabytes I have downloaded this week. It rebuilt the softmod, and extended the F partition to use the remaining HDD space. Also, it now boots directly to XBMC, which is fantastic. You've done a real good job with this installer, many tha...

Re: [Xbox 1.6] Problems installing XBMC

Thank you for your reply, I indeed have swapped out the wrong file, although the guide (http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/wiki/Installing_XBMC) does mention a file in the root of C in the first step, so I don't exactly understand why mine is not there. It is in a folder named xodash.du and called xonlined...

[Xbox 1.6] Problems installing XBMC

Hi there, I'm trying to install XBMC as the default dash on a 1.6 Xbox using the shortcut method. I identified the current dash as some obscure version of EvolutionX, with boot executable xboxdash.xbe. I renamed the ShortcutXBE file to this, and created the cfg file with the XBMC destination path (X...

Re: [Xbox 1.4] G partition unavailable in XBMC

First of all, thank you very much. I tried using Gentoox to install M8+ with F+G support. It failed as I expected, but then I checked the mobo wiring and whoever had soldered it originally, decided to remove one of the two connections after flashing it with M7 for some unknown reason. I fetched my o...

[Xbox 1.4] G partition unavailable in XBMC

Hi there, First of all, thank you in advance for dealing with my problem with this "ancient" console. :) I am running a 1.4 Xbox with Evox M7 BIOS. I cannot seem to find a modchip installed in the unit, so I'm assuming it was soldered and then TSOP-ed. I used the newest version of Chimp to...
