For Sale: Gathering Interest on a Sale of Huge Collection
Hi guys, pretty new here, and I'm sad to say I'm selling the old 'boxes as I have no use for them anymore. But it's not only those I have for sale, but a boatload of other stuff, including; PS2's, Gamecubes, Dreamcast's, Mega CD, PS1's loads of MegaDrive consoles and more. The thing is, I'm looking ...

Re: Failing HDD?
Well I don't think I can even boot retail on it because if I turn it on with the power button I get an error telling me service is required; and it's been like that since I got it off the previous owner I think. Am I right in thinking that if I unlock the HDD, Windows 7 will be able to recognize it?...

Failing HDD?
I just hooked up my backup xbox to test the latest nightlies, when I heard something horrible. The HDD makes a grinding noise when it's being accessed. I don't know when it started either because I haven't used it for a while. So in the event of it dying how can I avoid a disaster? I was reading som...

Re: Deleted my XBMC install..
Finally found a solution :D I found some links on Google on people trying to make XBMC their main dash, and got my method from there. I downloaded XBE Shortcut Maker 1.0 and created a xbmc.xbe shortcut to go on my xbox's C drive, which then points it too where my XBMC install is. Anyways thanks for ...

Re: Deleted my XBMC install..
The only options in the x3 bios (or at least on the build I'm currently running) are to set the dash drive letter, and rename the dash file names it looks for. So, I managed to get XBMC working by setting the quicklaunch option in the bios to go to F:/Apps/XBMC.default.xbe But still, I don't want to...

Re: Deleted my XBMC install..
Again, cheers for the help guys. Since I couldn't get the network settings to work, or find any usable CD-R's, I tried installing another FTP client. It worked! :D I'm now using the free version of Core FTP, which didn't require any setup besides the Static IP, and admin/password. Got another proble...

Re: Deleted my XBMC install..
Found the link to Hexen, cheers for that. Unfortunately my PC's DVD drive is ancient and can't write to DVD-RW's :( Anyone know any basic stuff that can go wrong with x3 FTP Settings? Here's the stuff I can change: DHCP: Set Static IP: Set Subnet: Set Gateway IP: Set DNS1: Set DNS2: I've got DHCP di...

Deleted my XBMC install..
Hi guys, new here :D Did something really stupid the other day, I deleted my main XBMC install, so now I have no dash. I have a 1.6 with an x3 (CE i think) so I can get into the x3 bios. I'm using FileZilla to try to FTP XBMC over, but I can't because I get this error: Status: Connection established...
