Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox [Solved]

Hello, I'm still using XCalibur 3.4, but like Romano2k said it puts too much files "everywhere" however it has tools which offer the possibility to build a new hdd. That's nice when you want to install a bigger one. I like the listed features of your softmod Rocky5, does your extra disc a...

Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

Please remove, advanced users will already know about this, I don't want new users even knowing how to get access to stuff there not meant to. (There was a reason I said not to tell people, in the long run it could cause me problems, as people like to touch things there not meant to.) Removed, sorry!

Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

I think all the 2014 Softmod Kit Extras Disc does when you use the "move dashboard" function is really only moving files. Because the NKPatcher dashloader is configured to load C:\Dashboard\default.xbe, then E:\Dashboard\default.xbe and then E:\TDATA\rescuedash\default.xbe, the first it fi...

Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

Hello there! So with the precious help of Rocky5, who answered a few questions I had, I've successfully switched from my Hexen softmod to his "2014 Softmodding Tool" on the original hard drive. It's fast, clear and in plain language, easy and very clean, I'm glad you made me discover this ...

Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

My softmod installed a ShadowC image to protect the softmod files, but also to allow 485mbs of free space in C that I use for the dashboard files, application (if you choose) & the MS dashboard files. (If you choose to install them, I ask) My softmod also can load dashboards from 2 locations. C...

Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

Primarily the second, but also the first :) I haven't been patient enough to wait for your answer: I had already downloaded Hexen, read the readme files and executed the DVD when you answered me. There's something strange with the DVD: I'm getting a black screen at first, but if I open the tray, re...

Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

Yes, but be aware that on a softmod it's not as simple as dropping in a new drive. You'll need to use XBOXHDM or Chimp methods to build/clone a new drive. Which one of my two questions your "Yes" is answering, please? :) I think I'll use XboxHDM as I don't have a molex doubler and I'd lik...

Re: Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

My recommendation is HeXEn - do a one-click softmod install of Krayzie 1.1.1. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/99918039/HeXEn%200.99B11-22.rar Other installers and updaters are available, terms and conditions apply, &c, &c. Thank you for your quick answer. Will it remove previous softmod leftovers? ...

[Solved] Reinstalling an already softmodded Xbox

Hi there! Until now I was participating in a french forum (Gueux), but as my main goal is to get XBMC4Xbox as my dashboard, and as this forum looks to be more active, I've just subscribed here. :) A few weeks ago I restarted using my two old Xbox with mod chips to play music and games. They work fin...
