Re: Way to stream compressed HD to XBMC as uncompressed vide
IMO high quality 576p looks better than low quality/compressed 720p. 576p is about the limit the original xbox can handle. So what I usually do is take high quality 1080p or 720p mkvs and encode to highest quality XviD avi 576p. The original xbox plays it well and it looks good, a lot better than 48...

Re: Network ok but can't see MSHOME
I found something that looks promising: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc959923.aspx That explains how to set 1 Windows computer on the network to be the master browser. I'll try it later to see if it fixes it. I'm like 90% sure the problem is that the computers hold an election to deter...

Re: Network ok but can't see MSHOME
Adding it by IP doesn't work, and using static IPs hasn't changed anything. It'll see the computer but when I attempt to login it just keeps rejecting it. And now after applying windows updates last night in an attempt to fix the problem, it won't login to my laptop at all. While my desktop logs int...

Re: Network ok but can't see MSHOME

You could try setting the WINS server to one of the windows PCs I don't have a linux machine on the network, though I think ...

Problems with SMB share
Hello, I'm having problems with XBMC on my original xbox. I'm using windows sharing, sharing from 2 Windows 7 computers to the xbox. Most of the time it works fine, I can browse to SMB in the xbox and navigate the workgroup to play my files. After a while however, the xbox just stops seeing the work...
