Re: XBMC4XBOX and HD
An Android box is another option... a better option than ATV in my personal opinion (but hey that's only my opinion). If you're feeling brave and want to try something experimental the raspberry pi seems to do a very good job at playing HD content too although it's still very much at development st...

Re: Face Book and a web Browser
Just checked - I can run Twitter in Firefox easily enough so I'm guessing Facebook would be fine too (can't check because I don't have an account). As all Facebook apps lack features I'd say using a browser works out better anyway. I paid 75 quid for the Apple TV, 15 quid for the Crystal HD card... ...

Re: Face Book and a web Browser
I used XDSL on the Xbox 1 a couple of times to try Firefox (probably 1.5 or something back then). Not fun with only 64MB of RAM, that's for certain! Expecting a decent browsing experience - or indeed any browsing experience at all - on the Xbox 1 is asking a bit much. You'd do better to get somethin...

Re: The old girl’s still got plenty to give
Hey nice work! Must have missed that vid the first time around. No I don't use my Xbox as a main media centre any more; the Apple TV I got a few weeks ago serves as a superior replacement, quieter/smaller/faster etc, and a better picture via 1080p HDMI than the Xbox doing 1080i through Component. Al...

Re: Tips on Running XBMC in 1080i
I remember that thread! I was the one who started it...
Good list of tips there, covers most of the points I did on the original post(s). You can leave auto temp control on though, just set it high so it never kicks the fan into higher speeds (2% minimum, 68 degrres C as max temp).

Re: XBMC4XBOX and HD
Hi there! I made the original post about how to make things stable under 1080i on XBMC4XBOX - it basically involved use of low memory skins, disabling thumbnails on certain plugins (iPlayer for example) and rebooting it every few hours or so. One of the other tips was, if you're in library mode and ...
