Re: Launch XBMC from CoinOps4?
oooh how do I go about doing that? I didn't know that was possible. The solution BuZz offered above works fine but I'd rather have the launcher option in coinops itself!

Launch XBMC from CoinOps4?
I've currently got my xbox booting straight to CoinOps4 but I also have XBMC on the hard drive which i would like to access occasionally, is there any way I could boot to XBMC from within coinops4? You probably can't but is there anyway to set a command to boot to the second boot location if you pre...

Re: Hard Drive partition sizes help please
infinity8x3 once chimp has cloned the drive you need to go back into chimp and select the 'format extended partitions' option to finish installing the drive, or I think XBpartitioner will do the same job. Either way you'll need to format the extended partitions (assuming you've upgraded from the ori...

Re: Hard Drive partition sizes help please
I did use xbpartitioner to format the drive, @RoyalX please read again what I put in the original post
I'm pretty sure it said it was formatting in 32k clusters (at the bottom when it was actually formatting).
As far as I can tell the drive is formatted in the correct way.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Hard Drive partition sizes help please
Right, thanks for the info but I'm pretty sure when I did it it said at the bottom 'formatting partition 6 using 32k clusters'.

Re: Hard Drive partition sizes help please
Thanks for the help! I went back into XBpartitioner and it said that for the size that I chose it would be 32k clusters so it's all good.
Thanks again for the info! Craig

Re: Hard Drive partition sizes help please
is there an easy way of checking the cluster size that it's been formatted in? I'm guessing that the size of the partition isn't too big then? I remember reading ages ago about there being a limit to the sizes but I can't for the life of me remember what was said, or whether it was definitive or not!

Hard Drive partition sizes help please
I've just installed a 500gb IDE HDD to an xbox and used the hexen disc to prepare the drive, which uses xbpartitioner (I think, and unsure of the version) to actually format the partitions. I've formatted the F partition to take up all of the remaining space which is around 469gb and I didn't change...

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
I tried changing the paths but it was exactly the same. I think I'm giving up on this one as I can just send the HDD back and order another, but hope that this time it isn't a hitachi!
Thanks for all the help, it's appreciated.

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
I've currently got the ind-bios on the xbox - how do I change the boot locations? If I go into the config file and go to the bottom I've got 3 paths for dashboards, is this where I put the first 2 as fakes and the 3rd as genuine? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? Also do I need to link to actual fi...

Amazing! I've been using double sides tape for a while to stick the feet back on. Bit of a ball ache but it works perfect.

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
Thanks for all the replies, I didn't expect so many! I've tried all the BIOS options that are on the hexen disc and it won't boot up. Is it worth me trying a few made up boot locations in the BIOS to try and stall it, could this work? Or if the other option is more likely to work could somebody expl...

Re: HDD powering up too slow....options?
If I remember correctly I used the iND-BIOS.5003.06. I haven't tried another, is there a specific one I should try?

HDD powering up too slow....options?
Evening guys. Glad to see that somebody has attempted to get the great forum back up and running (in a way). I'm Craigb87 from the other one, not Craig so don't get excited :) On to my problem, I've just installed a 1tb HDD to my xbox but it doesn't boot up when I use the xbox power lead. When I use...
