Re: Cloning for multiple builds ?
Weird results. After booting it up, It did not partition my G drive at all. What it did though was take all of the content that was Originally on G (basically all xbox backups) and put it on the F partition. @Rocky5: Comparing https://github.com/Rocky5/Chimp261812/blob/master/Source%20Files/Edited%...

Re: xboxhdm23usb
Thanks GoTeamScotch. The bulk of the work was done some years back when I patched smartmontools with ATA Security features. The rest of the stuff came from hdm2.2 and then Rocky5 did a great job with the menus.

Reading FATX partitions in modern Linux or OS X
Credit to modrobert of Eurasia who brought this: https://github.com/mborgerson/fatx up in his forum. http://www.eurasia.nu/modules.php?op=modload&name=Forums&file=viewtopic&topic=7423&forum=73 I forked mborgerson's FATX code, https://github.com/ldotsfan/fatx. You can now read FATX p...

xboxhdm23usb
This is the beta release of xboxhdm23usb. It is a remake of xboxhdm running in Windows with USB SATA/IDE enclosures/adapters. Check compatibility of USB devices from https://www.smartmontools.org/wiki/Supported_USB-Devices . Be careful when identifying which drive to connect to, as you don't want to...

Re: Resurecting faulty Xboxes...
The USB docking station or adapter may be able to lock the disk directly without needing a modded xbox. Use this http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4125

Re: NeMesiS FlashKit (TSOP Flasher)
Use virtualbox/qemu/vmware to run any old linux distro to compile stuff. (EASY)
OR
Use chroot , debootstrap and snapshot.debian.org to travel back in time to any past version of Debian (DIFFICULT).
The code for 2.6 FATX was never finished so 2.4 is a better bet.

Re: NeMesiS FlashKit (TSOP Flasher)
Reading might work but writing FATX is broken, chimp2618 doesn't use this kernel feature so it wasn't tested muchNeMesiS wrote:[
Are you referring to the 2.6 kernel from chimp?
Just your download says"linux-2.6.18.withfatx.tar.bz2", confusion.

Re: NeMesiS FlashKit (TSOP Flasher)
That's FATX for xbox 360. or XTAF.
The differences are more than endianness in the code. So that's a dead end.

And who's going to do the hard work of writing the code?
Anyway even mainline Kodi doesn't have it yet, Kodi with AudioDSP is a fork currently:

Re: Cloning a hdd?
Chimp doesn't support larger hdd, anything over 250GB will start acting up later due to chimp not supporting larger cluster sizes. (only supports 16k) So it's only really useful if you have a stock or smaller hdd. Note, it's only the F & G partitions that would be effected, since they can go to...

I'd scan for bad sectors on the drive first to eliminate one possibility - from a PC.
