XBMC4Xbox

I know a few of you stopped using the forum at xbmc.org as soon as they dropped the xbox as a platform, I stayed on there for another year or so... not sure why. Lots of users have found them unhelpful and rude, generally I found most of the users on there great and willing to help but unfortunately it does appear to be getting worse...

When they distanced themselves from all our favourite addons that have some questionable legality issues with regards to streaming ([removed], Icefilms, Filmon etc.) I thought fair enough, I can understand that. This is when xbmchub was born - a home for all the unofficial 3rd party addons (the ones that are the most fun!). I was asked to be the xbox mod on xbmchub soon after they started up and have read every post on there in the past year or so and there has never been any animosity towards xbmc.org. However xbmc.org have now started banning members and removing any threads that relate to xbmchub... it's getting ridiculous.

I urge you to take a look at this post, it's details of PM's between an xbmc,org moderator and Mikey1234 who is a great addon developer and has done soooo much for the community. I would actually urge you to read the whole thread as it's quite funny but I just wanted your opinion - who still uses xbmc.org? I still check in every few months and I've noticed buzz on there a couple of times and a few other familiar names but who regularly uses the forum now?

On the basis of this Mike should report Željko Ametovic to the Team XBMC Foundation with a view to getting his moderator status revoked. He's clearly not able to adequately moderate his own temper, so shouldn't be allowed to moderate a board. Edit, explain, suspend, ban if Mike's posts are persistently against the forum rules - but insults and threats don't present Team XBMC in a good light. Given how much time and effort (and money?) Team XBMC has invested in marketing themselves as a provider of mainstream multimedia software they are probably quite sensitive to such issues, and would want to distance themselves from comments like these.

Yes, please do report this guy. Completely out of order. Can't understand this attitude to someone who's main aim is to help others.

Well that's the old XBMC.org I remember. Good to see nothing has changed over the years. To be a mod one must bit one's lip from time to time, that guy needs to swallow his head though. Very good spot Whuf.

I guess now that xbmc is getting so big it is getting to the point where people and others will stand up and look at what they are doing if they are seen to be allowing such talk open them self up to legal issuies, but there is no need for language like that on any public forum expecially from a moderator they should know better.

I have never been really intrested in what has been happening over there but I have found lots of forums with hardened long term moderators seem to get abrasive to the noob questions.
Think before posting is all I say but yes I agree the mod shuld get a swift kick towards the sin bin.

I banned you, repo that you posted and that your mate XBMCHUB posted has addon(s) that serve illegal pirated content.you guys have been warned before and now its enough, there is nothing to discuss... we asked you before to not link to addons and repos that have illegal content, you failed once again and now you are banned.

ROFL! That's too funny right there. If I were to give an award to the most overrated "crime" in the world that has the smallest impact on any person but the biggest stink made about it, that would win by a landslide. Who honestly cares?
