I was wondering about future support of the new Opus codec (specified in RFC 6716).

On the XBMC forum, I found the following 'OPUS' topic with the same question on the 2012-09-12:
Are there any plans to and when to support the new Opus codec specified in RFC 6716?

if ffmpeg adds support, and we upgrade to that version, we will then support it. basically same as xbmc, but I will probably bump our ffmpeg after xbmc has.
