Flashing a VGA BIOS

If I flash my Version 1.1 XBOX with a VGA BIOS, will it only be able to make a VGA connection, or can I still use the composite video cable I have?
Right now, I use the Frosty's VGA boot disk to boot the VGA BIOS and I use my homemade VGA to XBOX AV cable...but it's a bit of an inconvenience to bust out the boot disk, boot the system, then swap out the disk.
