Using USB keyboard when on-screen keyboard active

I received a novelty rubber USB keyboard for Christmas and immediately thought it would be useful for XBMC (particularly for searching on youtube). Unfortunately, the keyboard works everywhere except when the onscreen keyboard dialogue is shown.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? The youtube4xbox plugin is otherwise working fine, but I can't use my USB keyboard to enter search terms.

If you go to settings>input devices try enabling/disabling "remote control sends keyboard presses". I think that's where it is - that's where it is on mainbranch but not able to check on xbox at the moment.

which version? debug log ?

I have been testing keyboard with latest builds (as I have backported some keyboard changes from xbmc), and as far as I know the keyboard will work with the OSK.

Sorry for the long delay on this.

I was using version 3.3-DEV-r31626 (Dec 7 2012). I rolled back to the stable 3.2 release and the keyboard works fully.

I should have tried this before posting, sorry to have wasted your time.

It's not a waste of time - it is in fact a bug. If people are running the dev version and they find a regression, a bug can be opened over at the bugtracker - http://redmine.exotica.org.uk/projects/xbmc4xbox/

I don't suppose you know at what revision this broke? Else I will have to roll back to find it.

I have located the commit. One of the larger ones so it will take some time to see how I broke it.
