XBMC4Xbox

Recently I've had a problem with XBMC where inserting a DVD will cause XBMC to hang with the spinning 'waiting' box in the bottom corner.

Any ideas?

Dying dvd drive.

That was my initial thought, However it was still doing it with a known working drive in it & it started doing the same thing on my other 2 modded xboxes when I put one of the latest nightly builds on it.

I went back to the last stable build (3.2) on one of them & havn't had the problem on that since.


When the problem occurs, Upon restarting the xbox with the disc in the drive everything works fine & I've had no other disc/drive related problems.

Anything but the stable builds should be considered "in development". I do not recommend any nightly builds are used for day to day use.

To update, Went back a few builds & discovered that Build 'r31602' is the last one I didn't encounter this problem on.

Everything that was released after that build seems to suffer from the problem I described in my original post.

So since its all working, I'll be sticking with that build until the next stable build comes along.
