XBMC4Xbox

xbmc4xbox has too many issues atm....i mean when i go to scrape my movies after adding the source it leaves out too many of my movies...iv tried rescraping but still the same.....if you ask me xbmc for the pc is flawless and works perfect and fast....xbmc on the xbox is too flawed and as much as i like it it just does not work as good as it does on the pc....too many things go wrong and the cache keeps filling up ...i dont know maybe one day it will work like it does on the pc.....it does not make it fun when you have to constantly refix things all the time.....but like i say im not bashing it cause i use it on my tv and i like it but it is frustrating that it cannot be like the pc where you install and everything feels automatic......

First main xbmc and xbmc4xbox since not the same!
we have not the same sources , we have not the same ram free on the xbox we on pc we have not the same python version and others!
We have on xbmc4xbox on moment one developer on the sources (buzZ)
He have with all the others what was involved do a exellent work!
most of the scrapper like imdb since on moment not working ( site changes) and one developer can not do all!

Personally I don't feel like I've ever contributed nearly enough to be entitled to bitch...

I've also noticed that all my xbmc4xbox installs are slower than XBMC on PC, buzz pull your finger out.

It's not like I have a brand new PC either it's only 8Gb RAM, quad core 3.2ghz CPU and Nvidia GTX 560Ti graphics card. What gives? I've spent good money on these xboxes over the years and now I have to resort to using my PC as the xbox apparently can't do 1080p... come on this console is only 10 years old surely you can at least give me full HD

XBMC4Xbox will NEVER run like XBMC on PC - it's amazing that a project with a single developer (Exobuzz) does what it does on a 10 year old hardware (Pentium 3 733MHz and 64 MB of RAM).

Try running mainline XBMC on a PC with a 733mhz P3 cpu, 64mb of ram, and a GeForce 3 video card and let me know how well it runs.

Scrape on the PC and export the library. If you don't know what that means you need to read the wiki.

It will never work like the PC because: 1. Is mantained by one dev and 2: It's a 10y old machine. If you want PC like XBMC experience use a PC instead of a game console.

which scraper - imdb is recently broken - also on xbmc for windows/linux

I've switched to "the moviedb" and scraping is working fine, you also have to be aware of the naming conventions to get the most out of the scrapers especially for TV series.
Apart from that small issue i have had nearly 4 years of brilliant service from xbmc4box and would still get by if all development stopped.

like i say im not really bashing it...i appreciate what buzz is and has done with it.I was just saying how it seems the pc is so easy and you have to go less under the hood so to speak than xbox...B ut i will continue to keep my xbox and have it running through my tv cause with [removed] i still can watch a boat load of movies...But i wonder how long with copywrite infringement shutting down megaupload and wupload recenly tanked...i just wonder how long putlocker and the rest will stay afloat and without links what will we have then......

i wouldnt run it on a pc with those specs..i cant help the xbox does not have enough ram..lets put it on a 360 then so it can push the power so to speak...your implying that so the xbox is limited just deal with it approach..i didnt make the original xbox so you would have to take it up with those developers....

listen i appreciate you guys following your leader buzz who has done a nice job with xbmc4xbox...but bashing me cause i have an opinion then where would we be if we all agreed on everything..remember i didnt make it this far and where iam today following...i lead by example

who said i was bitching and whinning...i call it constructive criticism...man you really gonna go there. thats childish...and another thing just because you say you have not contributed enough to have a say is hogwash.....its like when a person makes something that we all gonna use on our system ...we as the people using it should say if we think its up to par ......if you look up at what i wrote you will see i said i think he has done a nice job with it but that goes without saying its not without some frusterating flaws that i hope can be tweaked for better performance down the road....man you dont read but just what you want to.....i have 1 xbox in my living room with this on ot....i was gonna buy 2 more and put them in the other rooms ...but im complicating whether or not to do it cause i just like to install and forget about it...not have to keep updating and go in there to see that its working and now it aint kinda of approach...i dont want to have to baby it
