Firstly. Thanks for being here and active. A long long long time ago I modded a pair of yard-sale xboxes to use for media centers/lan consoles. One has a 500hdd one has a 250. I can't find the motherboard that I used to make all this happen in the past, so I guess I am stuck with the 2 units I have.

But the 250gb unit has given fuzzy video until you tweak the power cord a bit. Is this a regular item to fail? Is there a fix-it type of tut out there?

Ill have to get some photos of my units and post them up a bit later. I am proud of them lol.

I expect that the power connector's soldered connections to the PSU board have come loose, cracked or broken and need re-soldering. It's quite a common fault and easy to fix if you have a soldering iron.
