XBMC4Xbox

I'm running latest 3.53 build, and run Tvheadend according to these instructions:

It works fine with SD-channels, but HD-channels (720 and 1080) completely freeze the Xbox. I use DVD-Player since MPlayer does not work with Tvheadend at all.

Any ideas?

X80X does not have hardware acceleration for H.264 video decoding so the decoding is handled directly by the very modest CPU.
At best it will handle 480p (SD) H.264 or 720p H.263 (Xvid). And, 1080 is completely out of the question.

* if you're extremely 'lucky' it can just about handle very low bitrate 720p H.264, but the encoding artefacts at such low bit rates reduce the quality to the extent that it is not worth it.

Ok, so it is limited by hardware then.
