XBMC4Xbox

i am a noob, in my haste today amongst all the conflicting tutorials over the web i softmodded th xbox and it appears i have an old version, evox v+3935. installed with 007 softmode deluxe through usb.

anyway im glad it worked i can now have xbmc and emus on it.

ahem, a few questions.
can i have the evox updated? i want xbmc as my dash board next when i have time. ive read that the hexen disk will update the softmod but will it update mine? does the hexen install xbmc as well? what am i missing out on with my version?
can i install xbmc via usb or ftp or is it best with disc?

i have a v 1.1 with samsung drive and seagate hdd.

you want to download hexen and update to a later softmod with a virtual c which makes it safer so you dont accidentally delete something and stuff your softmod.

hexen will do everything you want it to do.

sounds easy, what im unsure of is how to update to a later softmod, do i update via ftp or go through the process of softmod again or by disc?

is there an option on the evox settings to upgrade?

ive got hexen downloaded needs transfer to disc, i just wondered if i should upgrade the evox or use unleashx first.

you burn the image to a dvd and just select the menu items to update the softmod it is that easy.

once you have that working it also has a copy of xbmc and evox and you can swap the boot dashes etc i believe and install them etc...

but you will want to install the latest xbmc4xbox 3.1 or jans build via ftp once you have it all working or usingg the t3ch upgrade python script (i believe it still works i dont use it my self as my internet is too slow).

It is the latest EvolutionX dashboard But I suggest to set up UnleashX or XBMC4XBOX, they have more features, and XBMC4XBOX is still supported.

If you used the 007 softmod then evox is located in:
/E/UDATA/4541000d/000000000000
