Would it be possible to base a Windows 8 skin from Mosaic?

Thats a great idea for a skin.

ne one gonna try to take on this, i would but not time right now, maybe next week but its alot of hard work

i was checking out this project and how to start it up, maybe the windows 8 skin can be modded from Moisc, this is a lite skin runs super great, i use it now, n e ways this skin can be modded but need permission from the skinner to see if we can use his work hard work to maybe get a skin like this going, i guess the idea was to come up with a windows 8 skin but just ended up something else, at the time i dont have time so if some one wants to get it started first get info on editing the skin by the owner and if i got time i will help out as much as i can, i never had windows 8 skin so im not sure how it runs or where is menus i have only seen how it looks with different colors and basic stuff.

Im not sure if i will have time, but thanks ill see what i can do and maybe give it the windows 8 look, i do really like the skin how it is but im sure the windows 8 will work for this skin, after doing this im not sure if the skin will run with lower ram since it runs great, adding colors and more backgrounds to each box maybe will do okay i will have to see and test it.

I tried changing some colors and swapped the backdrops with windows 8 backdrops. The skin loaded okay the first time I fired it up but after that I got stuck on a working screen just after the xbmc splash. It looks like the tile backdrop calls on a texture and with all the tiles sharing the same value. so only 1 color max for the tiles.

Yes, the home screen must be recoded as it shares the same TeX for all buttons.

im still working on changing up the colors.

i found the icons in the texture, for testing im gonna make a folder inside media so it reads as a texture.xpr and test if all icons in the home menu change or if i can split them to change, if not like you said XBS i might to recode the skin.

its have to be recoded, i tired to give it the look by making short cuts so it wouldnt take up memory but i guess recoded as xbs said as hes the one who uploaded the skin, any ideas how should i start, i can take it apart and down build it up, all 3 windows.

all last night i tired to give the mini windows colors yellow,blue, red, green light colors but i need to make the main transparent, i ended up changing the highlighting colors to sky blue and the main mini windows a darker blue,
the grey and blue look nice but i changed it to test how it worked, now that i can see how ti works, every box is used by one color, the highlight color and the main box color.

in order to get the windows 8 colors and shapes it needs to be recoded so each window has its own, even making it so it shapes like windows 8 as you see the frist 2 on the left are rectangled and the rest are a square it is possible to do this but im not sure where to start, coding em one by one can take a while since we are talking about the shape the position where its gonna go, ive done this before im not the best so wish me luck ill be on and off about how its going if someone wants to help your more then welcome.
