The correct answer is "sort of." You can get XBMC running with a JTAG or RGH console (as shown by shago11), but it's not actually able to play any media.

I think the paplayer works and you can access mp3 as example but xbox1 ande xbox 360 have a different hardware and the time for freaks what change allone a sources to works with other hardware is past!
Regards Jan
When Xbox 360 Linux can access the drivers with Opensl or vpau it can works !
But on moment no go!

I'm certainly no expert on this but from what I understand the only way of running xbmc on the 360 is via an emulator (haven't watched the video but by the looks of the title it's a linux emu). Emulating an operating system is never perfect and uses a lot of system resources, trying to run anything in xbmc via an emulated os is a definate no-go. Ok I guess physically it would be possible if you had enough system resources but the 360 doesn't have the juice for it, yes xbmc will load but I doubt you can do a lot with it!

Regarding emulating original Xbox items on the 360, the way it works officially is that each game needs to have an emulation profile written specifically for that game. The way it's working in the videos is that people are patching the xbes for homebrew apps to have the same game ID as games that have emulation profiles (like Halo for example). This tricks the 360 into thinking that you're trying to run whatever game you've changed the ID to and will run the app with that game's emulation profile. The problem with this is that the emulation profiles obviously aren't made for our homebrew apps so the emulation is imperfect at best, and so far, it's not very useful because there are either better alternatives written natively for the 360 or like in the case of XBMC, it won't work the way you want.
shago11's first video shows the user running Linux and then running a Linux version of XBMC, not XBMC4Xbox, so it's not the same method as what I just described. I don't think that it's working very well either though. At the very least, it can't have hardware video acceleration because Team XBMC is always saying that hardware video acceleration is currently impossible on the 360 (I think due to lack of GPU documentation). If it did work well, then I'm sure that we would've heard about it by now.

It's sad to hear that something that was originally developed for the XBOX is no longer work on it.
I guessed XBMC has evolved and has became a monster of its own kind and the XBOX is no longer a good enough slave for it. heheh.
Thanks you for all those who chimed in for an answer. Have a great day.
Cheers,
