Has anyone noticed problems when playing back wma content on the xbox~? i noticed mine plays ok but fast forwarding and rewinding dont seem to work, it seems no matter how far through the song you go it only jumps a specific amount, furthermore trying to rewind seems to more it forward this specific amount again.
Is there a known problem with this? i had noticed on past builds too but forgot to mention it before. Can also add a debug log if required but wasent sure what if anything it would show. thanks

Keith, can you please post a debug log to get a better idea. Enable debug, then play the song and do some fast forward/reverse.
If you press the white button (context menu) on the WMA file do you get a "Play using..." and multiple player options? Does it show the same problem with both options?

thanks dan dar, will be at my xbox in about an hour or so, i'll do a test and post up the debug log.
Yes the play using gives various options Paplayer which is default, theres also modplayer then the usual; dvd and mplayer options. All seem to do the same thing with the problems navigating through the song. Also forgot to mention im using the current 3.5.3 build and using confluence lite skin.
Will do a debug test later and post results, cheers again

ok I finally got around to doing the test with a few wma tracks. I ran through the different players in order (Paplayer, modplayer, dvdplayer and Mplayer) with no real difference apart from starting volume.

Thanks Keith. One final test, could pick one of them, copy it locally on the Xbox and tryint it again? I will ask you for a copy by email, thanks.
I don't like these messages hinting to a network related problem:
