which versions of the scripts/plugins? where from/how did you install them? You should post a debug log as already mentioned so we can advise.primepc wrote:i updated it to xbmc4xbox 3.3-dev r31500....programs that are not retrieving data is icefilms and nba nfl ...crackle is not workingBuZz wrote:which programs ? what versions ? also http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewt ... p?f=6&t=65primepc wrote:i finally got it to a recent xbmc build ...but programs still want work right
I, and probably everyone else who's here to help, would recommend you fall back to 3.2 stable if you don't want to deal with the bugs which one expects in unstable software which is under test. Get it here:primepc wrote:as much as i like xbox and xbmc i must say there are too many error when clicking on tv shows and movies
It's your choice, no-one round here is forcing you to use your old X80X. But, if you follow the help and guidance you're being offered, your experience is likely to to be better than if you don't (both with XBMCXBOX, and indeed this forum). Good luck.primepc wrote:...for instant crackel does not retrieve anything my movie scrapers do not work so i cant put pics on my movie posters...movie trailors work..but as far as nfl and nba stations dont. for now im not impressed with it on xbox but on my pc xbmc is really good

Instead of the stable build, I would recommend that you try Jan's build from this thread http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewt ... p?f=9&t=72primepc wrote:dude i got lucky even getting it to upgrade to the one i have ..more less now getting it to 3.2..anyway would love to get icefilms to work if it would..i would appreciate it...another thing why does my ip on my xbox go off and on all the time...on the pc icefilms and all channels work great on eden..i dont know xbox is alot harder for me..i can add bluecop repository to pc xbmc by adding it through zip file..but when you ftp repository to the xbox which folder do they go inspicemuseum wrote:I, and probably everyone else who's here to help, would recommend you fall back to 3.2 stable if you don't want to deal with the bugs which one expects in unstable software which is under test. You have to remember team XBMC dropped the xbox as a supported platform quite a few years ago so the builds are based on the old Camelot builds (before the days of "addons" and the built-in "addon installer"). It's quite amazing what Buzz has managed on his own for xbmc4xbox - since Arnova has left he is the only dev we have left. Use XAI to install your addons and Jans build would be the best option for you if want all the addons pre-installed (and it's the only way to get certain addons such as [removed]). There is a chance you may find a few bugs as Jan uses the latest nightly builds which are WIP, if you want something that's confirmed as stable then use "3.2 stable" but if you don't mind the possibility of a few little bugs then I would recommend Jans build. Before stressing out about the xbox' flaws just remember this is a 10 year old console that you can pick up for next to nothing (I've picked up a few for 99p each with games!) so it's quite amazing just what you can still get out of it. If you want a fully automated addon updater and all the bells and whistles then I would suggest either using another platform or learn some pythoni dont know xbox is alot harder for me..i can add bluecop repository to pc xbmc by adding it through zip file..but when you ftp repository to the xbox which folder do they go in
Amen to that! I was pleasantly surprised to find XBMC4Xbox running so well on my stash of decade-old Xbox Classic (last XBMC installation was 9.04-SVN back in '08!). I'm currently running XBMC4Xbox 3.2 Stable w/ some of Jan's plugins including [removed] (1st choice), Icefilms, Tubeplus, Navi-X, etc on xTV-SAF skin. Thanks to XBMC4Xbox, there are 4 fewer Xbox sitting in the e-waste pile today!whufclee wrote:You have to remember team XBMC dropped the xbox as a supported platform quite a few years ago so the builds are based on the old Camelot builds (before the days of "addons" and the built-in "addon installer").
