Other Usb controllers on Original xbox??

Does anyone know if it's possible to use 2.0 usb controllers on the Original Xbox? I bought a cable converter, which converts 1.1 to 2.0 usb. For example, is there a way to use a wired 360 controller? When I plug in a 2.0 controller with the adapter, my xbox is not recognising them. :/

Nope. With the exception of Linux, maybe... even still it would certainly be a novelty and more trouble than it is worth.
There is no such thing as a driver for the Xbox system. There is only support on devices for which each program explicitly supports.

Sony PSII to Xbox converter works sweet. Not exactly USB but it does allow you to use Sony wireless Logitech controllers on the Xbox and the Logi PSII ones are still available brand new. Actually it is harder to find the PSII to Xbox adapters than the wireless PSII controller but look on the Chinese sites and you'll find them.

Xman,
Have you tried many different types of the adapters? I was told many of the Chinese generic versions suffered from input lag.
However, I can't think of any better to play PSX games than using the actual controller... Any thoughts? At emuxtras I asked in a PCSXbox thread. The general vibe I picked up was to just avoid that approach

There is absolutely no lag using this adapter and the Sony Logitech wireless setup however you no longer have variable thumbsticks because the PSII doesn't have them, they are just on or off. If you can be happy to put up with thsis, all will be fine. I only use them on XBMC, never tried with games but it may be fine.
