they are compatible with the xbox i chekked so iam going to buy them have couple of projects iam going to do incl my first slim

WD 500GB IDE blues are a sweet hard drive to use in Xboxs. Only issue I ever had was when I dropped a brand new one still in the plastic bag off my bench onto the tiles. It never worked after that sadly. 
I was paying over $120 out here for them but that was a couple of years ago. They were my standard machine HDD for a long time. What you will like is how quick they are, how cool they run and they are absolutely silent. Oww and they are actually thinner by a far margin than the stock 8GB HDDs. You won't be disappointed.
