ToDDS with SIMD?

I might have posted this in the wrong place before (sorry), but I'd like to know if i should still use ToDDS with SIMD... mainline says get rid of .dds but i want to know if it's still practical on XBOX. so i would like to know .dds or not?

With the new nightly builds I done some testing and it's not necessary to use todds anymore. Unfortunately all my results were on the old forum and have now been lost but basically the new jpegturbo which was implemented in the builds worked equally as well if not better than dds. End result, no external conversions needed

Only think is that .dds might get a few MBs of free RAM... not sure.

You may be right there mate. If I remember rightly one of them saves you about 1mb RAM (probably dds) but jpegturbo was faster. I could be wrong but I think the results were something like that.

That's kinda what i've been messing with, and i think you're right!!! so not necessary, but it seems somewhat beneficial or so it would appear
