Cheapest way to upgrade dash

I have an xbox I'd like to softmod. Problem is I need to update the original dashboard in order to do the soft mod. I no longer have any original game discs that would update the dashboard. I know Halo2 had the update on it but I was wondering if there are any other ways or cheaper old games I could pick up that would update my dashboard. Thanks.

Use mine, doesn't require a specific dashboard.

I reccomend the HeXEn disc for softmodding. I got it down perfectly, and even have XBMC as the dash.

Hexen requires you to be already in a modded state
& the OP want to softmod his console.
He can use my softmod to do so.

Why not softmod first with 007 or Splinter Cell exploit, then HeXEn

From experience as a softmod newbie, Rocky`s package is not only fast and hassle free but fail safe
and streamlined to avoid all the potential "balls ups" as we say here in the Uk. Its the best bits of
all the tools, made available for free with the only effort being a mouse click. So I put to you,
Why? would you use anything else.
