Eaton Zveare the author of FATXplorer as released a public poll for to see if usere may like to implement features to the software,
One of the items on poll is support for the original xbox support for partitioning/ formatting HDD's and windows intergration etc...
http://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/2015/ ... ture-poll/
I currently use his software for my 360 and it is briliant it transferes at speeds far exceding ftp and is very handy for swapping content and setting up hdd's for the 360 with security sectors and formatting and setting up memory devices as a one click solution and is a valuable tool I would reccomend it.

124 votes out of 149 and Eaton said to me that he did not think there was any intrest in adding xbox support.
I have sent him a retail hdd image of a 10gig hdd to look at the partition layout on a drive without an ondisk partition table, and have yet to hear back.
So the ball might start rolling he said the poll will be up for a month or so.

Now at 245 votes, 73% of the poll.
MORI/Ipsos are predicting a landslide. Stan James has closed the book.

So the ball is starting to roll a little bit now I have uploaded some raw xbox disk images to my dropbox one drive with an ondisk partition and a standard drive without a partition table.
He hopes to get a bunch of images to inspect them for a start these two images will cover most cases drives except legacy non partition table drives with an f or g partition.
So for a start it will cover creating new drives with ondisk partition tables and in future support will be added to pull data from existing large drives without a partition table maybe even convert them to an ondisk partition table.
So hopefully soon we will start to see some progress

The thing is with defragment you just copy it all on a hard disk and copy it back in one hit it is so quick to do with a 360 hdd with fat xplorer

Good news poll results in:
Hi Jono, I released an update today mentioning the final results of the poll. Looks like there is significant interest so, as stated in that post, support will be added.
I have to catch up on some other things before I can dedicate time to this feature. I will let you know when I am ready to start on it.
Thanks for spreading the word!
-Eaton
official release info:
http://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/2015/ ... available/
Based on these results, here’s what is going to happen:
•Original Xbox device support will be added in the next major update. (Release date: TBD)
•The defragmenter will still be done, but there is no estimate when it will be available as it is a very complex feature and if it’s not designed properly, data loss could occur. We don’t want that (-:
•There appears to be little to no interest in a Mac/Linux version. Support for these systems is currently not planned as a result.
