Looks like it plugs into the ethernet and USB ports on a 360, and doesn't require drivers?

Would it work on our favourite Xbox?

Hmmm interesting... depends I guess if its trying to load drivers via the USB.... as we'd have none.

If its purely using it for power and dishing out IP addresses via the ethernet connection then I dont see why it wouldn't work....

Since it states that it works on sky and you view boxes as well, I presuming the USB is for power only. As those boxes aren't going to need or be capable of running drivers?

Hmmm tempting... just spent all my play cash on 1Ghz xbox and stuff to go in it.. SSD, cables and converters etc - but let me know if it works.. would be handy to have wireless 'N' speeds on the old girl!

I have one for my satellite decoder it works plugs into the network and usb to power it.

you just configure it with lan interface on pc first and away you go.

i would get one too if there easy to set up...ive one of the old wifi adapters u could get for the xbox but it dont work with secure wep wifi.

As the others have said, it is highly likely to be using the USB for power only.

At the price it's got to be worth a punt. Let us know if it works out, there may be other 'investors' off the back of it.

Well I bought one and it works fine under x-dsl after i set it up on my PC going to try it on xbmc next but cant see there being any problems

Well no surprise it works fine under XBMC4XBOX as well worth every penny

This device work great & is worth the money. There is only one downside to it thought.

It will reset it's self to factory settings if not used for a while -_- it's a pain in the ass, well it was for me as I had mine internaly (now moved externally) but when it works it's great.
(I have got 3 of these & each on will revert to factory settings if left unpowered for a while, could be a week 2 weeks not sure)

It was the only USB to Ethernet AP device I could find that wasn't in the ££.

I'm a bit slow I started this thread and I've only just got one

I had to set mine up by connecting it to my laptop.
My problem with the adaptor was I couldn't find printed anywhere in the instructions the IP address for the browser setup menu? I am missing something here
Eventually found it by watching a YouTube video, is was: 192.168.16.254, mine was the same, I don't know if they all are?

Anyway so far I have had it working on my laptop, Xbox and Xbox 360

I'm wondering if anyone has managed to set one up with the WPS button on their router and the one on the adaptor, I presume that's what it is anyway This would mean you wouldn't need a computer at all to set up with a console.

so guys do you recommend getting one for the xbox? i did think about getting one before and setting it up on the computer beforehand wouldnt be a problem.

1 thing that would bother me is it resetting once not used in a while as i too would like to internally mod this into a machine. Furthermore what is the speed like?

Speed is about 3mbs maybe 4.

I haven't had the problems that Rocky5 has had with the reset thing, but only had mine a couple of days so far
Mine is connected to my 360 atm, seems to work fine, plays YouTube videos with no lagging. Downloads the 360 dashboard updates, not as fast as a direct ethernet cable link, but works fine.

Not had any problems with using it on my X3 Xbox either, again not as fast as ethernet, but everything works.
I used a controller port to USB cable to power the adaptor btw.

It's shows the Xbox 360 setup. But after first setting up on my laptop, my original Xbox worked as soon as I plugged it in

Download FlashFXP to your PC or laptop ;
in settings on your Xbox find your ip address .
Open up flash fxp put in your ip address at the top with xbox and xbox as passwords hit connect .
You will see your Xbox folders appear on the right hand side , on the left will be your PC .
Xbmc has its own ftp built in but most people boot in to Unleash X and use that as it's faster
