Selfmade USB Dingy.

So i just made a USB Port dingy (idk how to call it) using one of those Gamepad extension cables and a
Tablet USB Cable.
And it works (The USB has a Red flashing Light so i know that the USB works)
Now i just want to add ROMS (for my Emulators i burned on a CD) to the USB so i don't have to burn new CD's just for a new rom,but
how can i set the emulator to load the roms from the USB? There are Directory settings but i can't find the USB Directory on the list : /
Can someone help me out with this?

I am doubtful about the emulators supporting this function.

You can use the roms over ftp. Most emulators have this feature.

I am not sure about FTP.
[Most?] Madmab edition emulators do support Samba shares. Either way, network shares are a better way to go.

It is a term referring to network file sharing in Windows.
SMB = Samba = Windows file share

Could someone give me a easy tutorial for FTP'ing with the default XBOX System (no custom launcher)

You need to be modded to use FTP. In other words, you need to launch a custom dash.

Simply install xbmc. Search for slayers 2.7 or 3.1 and switch with that to ftp.

Unless you can connect to the modchip with FTP(? I have little experience with modchips), there are only two* other ways to get a custom dash onto the xbox, with a DVD/CD, or by plugging the hard drive into a PC. If the hard drive is locked you will need to hot swap it and use XBHDM on a PC with an IDE port. If its unlocked you can plug it into to the IDE port or a USB/IDE hard drive caddy/adapter and transfer the files with Xplorer360 on Windows.
*you can also hot swap it to another xbox but I'm assuming you don't have another.

Yes u can install it by a DVD.
But much clearer is this way:
1-->Bios on Chip with link to the default.xbe from XBMC
2----> Flash This bios on your chip
3------> get a DVD to boot your box with it
4-------->ftp to the adress that evoX on slayers disk is listen to
5---------> copy the newest xbmc to the path in point 1
6---------->Fire up (Boot XD) your Box and Have Fun

There are three ways to get files onto an xbox:
- through the ethernet port (FTP)
- through the DVD drive (use a DVD)
- through a game controller port (use a gamesave memory stick, or a plain old USB stick via a 'selfmade USB dingy')
Make:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Better- ... -for-XBox/
(gazillions of other guides out there too.)
Buy:
http://www.play-asia.com/usb-adapter-ca ... 0-1xz.html
(available elsewhere too, if you can work g00g1e.)
BTW, years ago, I got one of these which is extremely neat.
