How long does it take for CHIMP to format a 250gb HD?

It's been at it for almost 4 hours.

The Screens gone dark, but It's still sending signal.

Using original Xbox controller and Standard AV cables.

It finished formatting.

I went back into CHIMP and it said the drive was locked. I changed the jumper settings and it loaded fine.
