hello, do you know whi my remote stops working from time to time? i checked with a camera and the ir led emits light, i think its a problem with the xbox or the receiver.
any help?

nope, i have new batteries, the ir emits light (if you put a phone camera in front of the remote you see the light)

i had a remote that worked on and off - this was due to one of the old batteries leaking. once i opened the remote up i noticed damage on the board

failing that, is the receiver just plugged into the front (and which port) or is it inside the xbox?

is it happening when your in the same place? if not it could be something blocking the reciever

Maybe worn contacts. I fixed mine with bits of metal tape on the contact areas.

Agreed with Keith, open it up and see if it needs to be cleaned (clean it anyway since it's open ) Any change when switching it to a different port on the xbox?

pull the dongle out,blow in the connections,try a different port
