The first one is SCART RGB for SD. Best you can get AFTER the second one.
The second one is Component AV Cable for HD. the best for Xbox and YES it supports up to 1080i (480p,720p,1080i)
Get Component !

Hmmm seems an odd array of inputs? SCART and HDMI?
TV's have to have a certain amount of inputs to be classed as HD Ready... or Full HD (1080P)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HD_ready
This includes a YPbrPr input (component)... whats the name and model of your TV?

If you want HD you need the component cable , I had a search for HDMI to component and there are plenty cables but you would have two female connectors both ends and would need to have female to female connectors for each !! There might be an easier way than this .

Forget that ha , just had a Google and this won't work ,for HDMI you will also need a signal convertor as component is analogue and HDMI digital !

Are you implying that one must have an intermediate coverter box in-line. If so, that's not correct, but it is the way some of the cable manufacturers implemented component support, not least MS itself.

o ok i didnt think the wires were enough. the one i haave i think is the official one which came with the box. however i just noticed the box also has an optical out for audio on it so maybe thats why the box is included

I think with only scart and HDMI these HD cables for the Xbox will not work , j think this is where the "box " will be needed to convert from the rgb from the Xbox to the HDMI on the TV .
I have seen a few TVs now without rgb
