I have bought the crystal clear case
http://ghostcase.com/xbox/ghost-case-cr ... -xbox.html

I also bought the blue led kit
http://ghostcase.com/xbox/xbox-plug-n-p ... y-kit.html

Does the crystal clear kit include the dvd drive? (where you can see the dvd spinning)

Can't help with the DVD kit sorry although I think I've seen a YouTube tutorial in the past to adapt an xbox 360 clear kit to the original xbox.
Didn't know ghost kits were still being sold. Would be interested to get one, would you mind posting up or sending a pm when you receive it?

Man, cut a window for yourself.

i didn't even follow a guide i just did it off the top of my head and the result was great. i didn't do mine on a ghost case but the dvd drive cover itself should be the same, you just done need to cut an actual window on the case just the drive cover right?

think there's a dvd window mod guide about on the forum somewhere

Dont plan on that LED ring to last long. When i first starting tinkering with xbox's I bought two of those and they faded out and died after a couple of months. Those crystal cases should come with a clear DVD plate that replaces the stock DVD drive lid, however they dont fit on some of the DVD drive models.

The part that goes on the DVD drive only fits the Thompson drives. I tried to mod one to fit a samsung and it sat to far away from the drive motor. They are also really thin and flimsy and a lot of the time when you pres the eject button the drive wont open and it gets stuck. The magnet is to strong and the plate bends down and the drive motor cant retract. I had had that happen on a few drives. I have had a lot of these cases in the past.

Also the case is made of a hard plastic that breaks ultra easy! I have had plenty of these break in shipping. I wont touch these cases anymore. They are more trouble then it is worth. But they do look nice installed. The clear is really crystal clear.
