Xfinity DTA Remote with Xbox

Has anyone used the Xfinity DTA remote with the Xbox and OEM Dongle? Is it possible? Or is there a way to wire the IR adapter that came with the remote to get it to work? My OEM Microsoft remote crapped out and I'm looking for an alternative.
