Try getting a hold of Litspliff at the XS forums. He might still have a few left.

If you have 1.1 console, just flash the TSOP You can even make dual-bios like in DuoX2 chip.

foundmy.com (which is endorsed by xecuter atleast) still has some.

I agree, although you would basically need to softmod before you can flash the TSOP, so depending on whether you can do that easily or inexpensively, flashing the TSOP is definitely what I would do.

my hdd is unlocked getting 05 error ,the chip that was in it was broken ,so took it out ..
hence the need to get a new chip duox2 seem easy to install at my at my age now alot of soldering is out of the question
would i need to softmod the box then tsop ,, able me to rebuild my hdd using slayers disc,,
cant even use the computer to rebuild the hdd ,,as my puter is sata cabled no ide.....

Ah, if your hard drive is unlocked, then you would need to lock it before trying to install a softmod or flash the TSOP.

I had a DuoX2 chip drop it's bioses before myself. Probably the reason your chip is showing up broken. If the machine was a pinheader modchip install, you could just get another chip and insert it straight back on the pinheader and then solder the D0 wire onto the chip so that would only be one solder joint, (an easy one), required. No need to lock the HDD then and you will be able to reflash the broken DuoX bios and then have 2 modchips to go. To set up the new chip to boot your old HDD if it isn't already, Slayer's will do that and you should be good to go.

Maybe stupid, but have you tried second bank on your chip?

yeah tried all banks ..getting nothing ,,gonna have to try a get a new chip
